Q: WHAT DO I WEAR?
A: It's time to channel your inner New York Fashion Week fashionista ladies! Bring out those maxi skirts, harem pants, pleats and spring/summer pops of color and get ready to dazzle on our red carpet! Please keep in mind that though this is a women's only event, cameras are allowed (except for during the actual fashion show portion) and FFF will be taking pictures and video throughout the evening! There will also be a photobooth, so come in style and ready to capture moments of this night to remember!

Q: DO I HAVE TO WEAR HIJAB, AND WHY?
A: If you wear hijab, then yes. Please dress appropriately as you dress in public. Don your hijab with pride and beauty because we're rolling out the red carpet for your picture to be snapped at the event. It is NOT a safe zone to remove your hijab.  Fashion Fighting Famine assumes no liability for any photos of hijabis not wearing hijab at the event. Our models who wear hijab will also be wearing hijab on the runway, and all of our models will be channeling a more demure walk.

In order to better publicize this event, we are allowing cameras and video. We're excited to have media outlets covering this event!

Q: WILL THERE BE FOOD AT THE EVENT?
A: Yes, there will be light food and beverages at the event. Although we highly recommend that our guests eat lunch prior to attending, there will be light food served during the Cocktail hour at 4pm, so be sure to arrive on time.

Q: WHAT TIME SHOULD I COME?
A: We recommend that you arrive at 4pm and head straight to the Check-In table. Late guests will only be allowed to enter the fashion show portion in half hour intervals to prevent disruptions during the show.

Q: HOW IS SEATING ARRANGED?
A: The venue has seating for 1,000 people, and is arranged in a manner so that every seat is a great seat for the show. There is a live-feed of the models walking down the runway, so everyone in the house will be able to see the beautiful details of the clothes!

Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
A: As this is a charity fashion show, we highly recommend that you come ready with your cash and checkbooks to donate and Shop for a Cause! A portion of all purchases and orders of designer merchandise made at the event will go towards charity.

Q: WHY 'ONE LAPTOP PER CHILD' AS THE CHARITY?
A: The laptop serves as an educational tool; we believe that education is the foundation for solutions to challenges that impoverished communities face, like poverty and hunger. The laptops are rugged, low-powered, and connected to the Internet so they work for children living in the most remote and harsh environments. It is an engaging, inspiring tool that gets children excited to go to school, learn new skills and teach their parents and friends. These laptops can be an empowering means towards changing their lives. We believe that education is a crucial system to invest in as these are the future leaders of their respective communities.

Q: WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED WHEN PURCHASING FROM THE DESIGNERS?
A: Vendors will accept cash and check payments. We are working with our vendors to allow for credit card payments. Please keep a lookout for updates!

Q: WILL THERE BE DANCING AT THIS YEAR'S EVENT?
A: There will not be a dance portion at this year's event. In order to bring our fashion event to a higher level, we have separated the dancing aspect away from this event, and hope to have that in a separate event in the future. This event is designed around an exciting fashion show and glamorous Shop for a Cause sessions.

Q: CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?
A: No children under the age of six are allowed at the event due to safety reasons. Children under the age of six will not be allowed to enter into the event area. In the future, when resources are available, we hope to provide babysitting to better cater to our audience needs.

Q: WILL THERE BE ANY MEN AT THIS EVENT?
A: No, there will be no men at this event. However, although this is a women's only event, there will be photography and video taking place throughout the evening, and it is not an environment in which you can remove your hijab.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T PURCHASE MY TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME?
A: Tickets at the door are subject to availability. Once we reach full-capacity, we will unfortunately have to turn people away from the door.

Q: WHAT DOES MY TICKET GET ME?
A: A ticket to the 2012 Fashion Show gets you an evening of high-fashion and entertainment, direct access to all merchandise on our runway, a chance to meet designers, food and beverages, complimentary parking ($10 value) and a chance to be at the biggest event of this kind and the charitable event of the year.
