ABOUT THE FFF MODEL EXPERIENCE
Modeling in a Fashion Fighting Famine (FFF) show is an exciting opportunity to spend your time volunteering for a charitable cause while meeting wonderful new people, gaining self-confidence, and having a great time. There's nothing like the FFF Model experience - behind-the-scenes, backstage, and in the spotlight - it's truly an unforgettable experience from beginning to end.
FFF prides itself in producing world-class, professional fashion shows, and we seek models who are passionate about charity, able to operate in a professional environment, and willing to be a positive team player on the Model Team. It is essential that models are punctual, willing to take direction, compassionate and kind towards their fellow models, respectful to their leaders and everyone they work with, and above all, committed to ensuring the excellence of the show and success of supporting our charitable causes of the year.
WHAT OUR MODELS HAVE TO SAY
"I feel so blessed to have gotten involved with Fashion Fighting Famine two years ago! There are so many great causes out there that FFF supports, and being in a position of privilege, it can be so easy to forget that there are so many people out there who are facing difficult times. By taking part in FFF you're reminded that you're doing this all for a greater cause. Modeling for the show was an experience that changed my life in so many ways - I met so many people who I hope to have in my life forever! I also learned that no matter how society defines beauty, beauty comes from within. I can be modeling the most expensive scarf or dress, but at the end of the day, what is on the inside matters most." - Amal Sharif
"Whether it was learning to strut down the runway during practice or sharing many laughs with fellow models, the whole process of modeling for FFF was amazing. The best part of my experience would have to be meeting all the incredible girls that were part of the show. We became a huge family and felt saddened as practices were coming to an end and the final show was nearing by. A bunch of us still keep in touch and reminiscence about the great times we've had together! This is one opportunity you won't want to miss because it is an incredible experience that boosts your self-esteem and confidence. I am truly happy to have been a part of FFF!" - Yumna Khan
FITTINGS AND REHEARSALS
All FFF Fittings and Rehearsals are mandatory for models and take place in Irvine, California. Models will be required to provide basics at fittings such as shoes, dress slips, tank tops, leggings, etc. Models practice in high heels for the entire duration of rehearsal. Rehearsals take place in an outdoor setting in the sun, and models are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats, and water. People who have difficulty with prolonged exposure to the sun may want to keep this in mind when applying to model for FFF. Models will not be allowed to wear make-up to fittings, and are required to wear the hair and/or scarf styles and make-up as determined and applied by the FFF Team on the show day.
